Projector - RYE School

Uganda Uganda

Meaningful Volunteer is about to launch it's RYE School Initiative in Uganda.  Part of the program will be increasing the computer literacy of local Ugandans.  Currently, we have three netbook computers (kindly donated by Bob Bozsa) for the Ugandan classes.

We believe strongly that just because you live in a developing country, that doesn't mean that you have to use sub-par resources.  Teaching a computer class without a projector is just hard.  It is hard to tell a class to "click on that green button on the bottom left of the screen", but very easy to say "click here like I am doing."

All about RYE School

RYE School is one of the many exciting human rights projects that Meaningful Voluneer undertakes. See below for details on how you can become involved.

Come volunteer at our RYE School in Uganda.

You'll get the chance to work with HIV positive women and empower them with English skills, computer literacy, and livelihood projects.

Your fees will help fund the programs, feed the ladies and provide them with life enhancing ARV (anti-HIV) medication.
