Nhedy is a RYE School english student currently at level 3.

Nhedy lives in a tiny house on the road up to Cawayan. She is the youngest of 8 children, 3 of which are boys and 5 are girls. Her oldest sister is 28 years old. 3 of the 8 children live at home, the rest live in Manilla.

Nhedy's father is in construction and he can be away for up to a year before he comes home for a two week holiday. Nhedy's mother is Cawayan's 'traditional midwife'. This means she does not get paid but she helps any lady during birth, she has never been trained but has learnt from experience. There is a great need for this in the village as due to the isolation a trained midwife or health worker would not be able to get to the lady in time.

Nhedy would like to be able to finish her schooling as she would like to become a nurse.

Nhedy has the biggest smile and is never seen without it!
