Many children attend school with no school supplies.  They must attempt to learn without aid of a notebook or paper.  Many children become ashamed or embarrassed about this and will not attend school.

By sponsoring a child and buying them some school supplies, you will give them all the tools they need to learn.

Sylvia is a RYE school english student.

Sylvia lives with her 4 siblings and parents. The family does not have a house of their own, so they are currently living in a half built house that belongs to Sylvia's uncle. They are living there  on a tempory basis while her uncle is away working. They cannot afford the buy or build a house of their own at the moment. Sylvia's oldest sibling is 16 years old and the youngest sister is 8 years old.

Niether one of the parents is employed, but they farm and fish depending on the weather. Sylvia's parents hope that Sylvia will be able to finish her studies to enable her to get a good job.

Sylvia's walk to school is down a path from the mountain, it is narrow and dangerous when there is rain.
